Christian Marriner, who plays Lord Farquaad in the DreamWorks and NETworks Presentations production of Shrek The Musical surprised his soul mate, Jackson, Tennessee native Leah Beth Bolton by proposing to her on stage at the end of the show following the bows Tuesday, January 29, at the Carson Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

It was a true-to-life fairy tale: Christian Marriner, from Laguna Beach, California met Leah when they were in school together in New York City. They often saw each other in the hallways as they passed from class to class, becoming good friends. Several years later, when Christian was on tour in South Pacific, they met when the show was in Nashville. The arrow hit its mark that evening and Christian knew that Leah was the one. Now, they plan to live happily ever after (she said yes!).
